Support » Networking WordPress » Subdomains don’t recognize multisite network

  • I recently decided to turn my main website and two subdomains into a WordPress network. The two subdomains were already up and running before I created the network.

Those two subdomains are now on my network and I can access them through the ‘My Sites’ menu option on the main site dashboard.

But when I go to the dashboard of each of the subdomains, I do not see the ‘My Sites’ option. It seems that these subdomains are not seeing the network.

How can I make sure all three 3 sites are connected and talking to each other?

You’re apparently still seeing your old subdomain sites. If you’ve not redirected the subdomain destinations in your hosting account settings, the old sites will always get the requests and your WP network will never see the requests. In your hosting account, you need to direct subdomain requests straight to your WP network installation.
