  • The WordPress community and world do not owe you an apology. Everyone can get frustrated at times, but you can learn to adapt to new workflows. Don’t get stuck doing the same things all your life, because technology evolves continuously. WordPress has been very generous in providing complete freedom to express yourself without paying anything. So here, they don’t owe you anything. Make something worthwhile learning. Maybe you should apologize instead.

Look at your rating. Making this poor editor the default one is the worst decision WP ever made in its history. I love the explicit picture of the « Disable Gutenberg » plugin: let’s end this joke, let’s bury it! And btw look at their rating vs yours, it says it all about community: you’re not on its side anymore. And you want us to adapt to « new workflow »?? Why don’t you take a look at elementor, or WP bakery… and tell me who needs to adapt?

Hey @codius – you’re totally entitled to offer your feedback – but I do ask that you keep it constructive.

The developers are always looking to improve things – so if you’re able to offer any specific feedback on particular things that would be really helpful.

@jordesign: I think even with the negative tone, codius is offering constructive feedback. I completely agree with him and it is time that these things are brought to light. I am thankful and appreciative this plugin exists but believe they could do much better with the way the tools flow and the available options.

Since you mentioned Elementor, why not continue to build with Elementor? No one is stopping you even if performance and slow editing experience isn’t that great. We provide Elementor as an agency, no WPBakery if you know who is it for. Just because WPBakery and Gutenberg does looks resemble doesn’t mean it’s easier or better than Gutenberg Blocks.

@jackdossantos For the past 20 years, most business and users have not contribute a cent to WordPress. So they are funding for your future and the next generation.
