Support » Plugin: Page View Count » Can’t say, not working.

  • The plugin does not display on my site, so I can’t really say how well it might work if it did.

The admin interface is nice and seems pretty straightforward, so I had high hopes for how it might work. Sadly, nothing.

I would like to see two things in a page counter:

    1. The ability to change the count from the admin panel. Just because I installed this today, I would prefer to not display to the world that I have only 4 hits.

    2. A shortcode to display the thing WHERE and HOW I want. I’ll handle all the formatting, colors, etc., and I want the ability to place it exactly where I want it to be.

Neither capability is present in this plugin, and while there’s instructions on inserting PHP code, presumably in functions.php, I would prefer to pop it into a textbox and set it.

From the admin point of view, it seems like a great start. But it actually has to display something to be useful, and I think trying to be clever and “place” it for me can cause problems with some themes.
