Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Blocks » Looks great, but not compatibel with other extensions

  • I have tested the cart and checkout block recently and I’m very surprised about the design, well done.
It works for standard configurations very well, but you need test all your custom extensions. In my case these plugins doesn’t work with the checkout block:

    • Order Delivery Date for WooCommerce
    • WooCommerce Cash On Pickup
    • WooCommerce NL Postcode Checker

So I went back to the old shortcodes instead 🙁

    Hi Olaf,

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

In my case these plugins doesn’t work with the checkout block:

Can I ask you to submit this as a feature request via: https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/woocommerce-gutenberg-products-block/ ?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Con,

Can I ask you to submit this as a feature request via:

I never checked the plugin code. The 3 plugins are using hooks to add the their functionality to the checkout page. I have the idea that the blocks plugin doesn’t work this way. So the enhancement would be to add support for hooks and I’m sure I’m not the first one asking for this feature 😉

BTW, the linked website is down:

    Error 503 Backend fetch failed
    Backend fetch failed

It’s up to the extension developers to add support for Cart and Checkout Blocks. The plugins you mentioned above are not developed by us but by third parties. We have some documentation for Third-party developers and some Developer Resources available to help with their integration efforts.

We encourage you to reach out to the developers of those plugins to add support for these blocks since we do not have any control over them.

You can read more about this here in our documentation.

    the linked website is down:

    Error 503 Backend fetch failed
    Backend fetch failed

As “Error 503 Backend Fetch Failed’ is mainly caused when the cache server gets temporarily overloaded. When you encounter this error on a website, make sure that you close all other active tabs and services to lighten the load of cache server memory.

If you still see the above error, please reach out to your host and let them know about this issue so they can sort this out for you.

Please do let us know how it goes!

    Hi,

I have a good contact with one of the plugin developers and I will ask him why his plugin doesn’t support the WooCommerce checkout block.

Thanks for sharing the list of compatible extensions.

I guess you missed something in my previous post, I was talking about the link to the feature suggestion form 😉

    Hi @finalwebsites

Apparently, this was circumstantial, but the link is working correctly now. Were you able to access the link? You can try clearing your cache or using a private tab if you still have trouble accessing it.
